Honey Badgers Are Us: Character Development Specialists

It’s official, we are f*cking halfway through chemo. Michelle completed Round 3 of 6 on Monday, and she’s strong and steady. Actually, scratch that — she’s a damn Honey Badger.

Wait, you aren’t familiar with the legendary tenacity of the honey badger??

Watch this YouTube video, and thank me later:

But I digress.

Updates, right?

Well, we seem to have figured out Michelle’s pattern following and between chemo treatments. Most people like patterns and structure, but Michelle thrives in carrying out a plan. This is how it seems to play out:

Days 1–4: Good energy and few noticeable side effects (likely thanks to the steroids she gets with her infusion). This is also the period where her cranium thaws out (more on cold capping in the next post).

Days 5–9: Fatigue sets in, taste buds go on strike, and if she does even a bit too much, she’ll run a fever. Apparently, fevers are a big-ass deal during chemo. We’ve been told that if she hits 100.5°, it’s straight to the ER while yelling, “Chemo patient with a fever!” So, we are looking to avoid that scene.

Days 10–20: Back to (somewhat) normal. Energy returns. Some food doesn’t taste like metal or dirty socks. We even went out to dinner at Third & Hollywood. Michelle works with a few private training clients.

Day 21: Talk about Monday Blues…

So, it’s ups and downs. But her hair is holding. Her smile is holding. She is holding. True badger energy.

Now, an important update — especially for our Human Form family:

At the beginning of this whole fecal show, we asked folks to give Michelle some space. We had no idea what we were doing or the road ahead of us. Plus, she’s a private person by nature, and the thought of emotionally engaging at the gym with all you lovely people seemed overwhelming. Absolutely the right call for those early days.

But as we’ve all settled into this new rhythm, Michelle’s feeling more open to conversation. So, consider this a friendly recalibration.

If you feel moved to say something, anything really, from “You’re amazing,” or “This sucks,” to just “Hey, how are you doing today?” … go for it. You don’t need to have the perfect words. Just being real is more than enough.

We’ll continue to post updates here as we march toward Round 6. Thank you, as always, for walking this with us. For the food, the texts, the love, the vibes, and now… the halftime energy.

Let’s keep going. We’ve got this. She’s got this.

And yeah, cancer’s still not impressing anyone.

With love,
Stephen (& Michelle)

  2. 38wincom? Yeah, I’ve poked around there. It’s got a decent selection, and the odds aren’t bad. Worth comparing to the usual suspects. Might just find something good! Give it a look here: 38wincom

  11. Alright, so I tried wjslot pro a few times now and gotta say, the gameplay is smooth. The jackpots seem a bit elusive, but I enjoy it. Worth a shot if you dig online slots. wjslot pro

  12. Just signed up on zk777game and the welcome bonus was pretty sweet. Games seem fair, haven’t won big yet, but I’m having some fun. Give it a try and let me know what you think. zk777game
