Let’s talk about food.
Specifically, the kick-ass food that’s been showing up on our doorstep thanks to the incredible generosity of our HF family.
When it was first suggested that we set up a food fund for Michelle, we weren’t sure what to expect. Maybe a few meals here and there to help lighten the load. But you all showed up, in full force. You’ve been feeding the beauty… and, yes, the beast too (that’s me).
On the days when Michelle’s taste buds are off, or she’s too wiped out to cook (and the thought of me cooking something edible is laughable), or we’re both just mentally toast, these deliveries save the frickin’ day. It’s much more than food and nourishment that you’ve provided. It is medicine. It is love disguised as soup and smoothies and grain bowls.
So, thank you. And please know that it has mattered. Immensely.
